About me

I have been designing and making furniture for over 15 years. Since training in fine furniture design and craftsmanship at Rycotewood College, Oxfordshire, the mainstay of my work has been personal commissions where a client is looking for a very specific and tailor-made piece of furniture.

I also make prospective work to show in galleries and exhibitions; these pieces often draw inspiration from our local history and ancient British landscape but above all I aim to make contemporary, ‘British’ furniture that people love to use.

Whether designing for home, office or garden the challenge for me remains the same: to combine your requirements and my skills as a designer and craftsman to make a unique piece of furniture.

I only use British hardwoods: their variety in colour, texture and grain is constantly inspiring and I firmly believe that selecting timbers from local, well managed sources makes ecological sense.

If you have an idea or project in mind I am happy to talk it through without fee or obligation.
